Project overview
Design a book cover system that reflects the novel’s themes of nature, memory, and quiet urgency using a restrained palette and painterly foliage textures.
The cover approach leans on depth and scale: an architectural tree canopy illustrated in layered greens, with stark, elegant type set in a serif that reads as literary and approachable. Subtle silhouettes of birds provide motion and narrative hints without giving story beats away. The spine and back cover continue the texture to create a cohesive wraparound effect for print.
I produced print-ready artwork with careful attention to color separations, bleeds and embossing options, plus alternate covers for ebook thumbnails and social promo. The design balances shelf presence in both physical bookstores and crowded online marketplaces.
